Clumsy Stupid Am I
I've had more than my share of clumsy incidents lately: First, I fall down a flight of stairs in Los Angeles (luckily both my nice pants and legs escaped unscathed). Not even an hour later, I swipe my inner upper arm into a corner of plexiglass, causing a very ugly, longstanding purple bruise. Being a fairly unclumsy person, I dismiss these incidents as being a result of vacation happies or jet lag.
However, when I return to New York, the clumsiness re-appears! I (in no particular order): fall while running, causing a painful cut & bruise on my knees; spill buttered popcorn all over my jeans; drop my bag in a movie theater, temporarily losing my wallet; trip several times; and spill restaurant water. If you have any insight as to what might be causing this, drop me a line. (Sorry, I've already ruled out spousal abuse, alcoholism and drugs.)
