Al Franken for North Star State Senate?

Rumor has it that funnyman Al Franken is considering running for senate in his home state of Minnesota. While some detest his extreme liberalism, I find him to be a refreshing antidote to the conservative slander served by TV pundits like Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Joe Scarborough.

The question remains: Why does little ole Minnesota seem to attract such political celebrities? As you may recall, former wrestler Jesse "The Body" Ventura served as Governor of the state from 1998-2002. While Ventura's politics are more to the right, both he and Franken are outspoken former wrestlers with a comedic edge. Hmmm...
